Best practices closing leads

Time is of the essence

It has been found that a lead response time of five minutes or less is the ideal timeframe, and after five minutes, the odds of converting a lead drops by 80%. Additionally, responding within five minutes is 21x more effective than responding after 30 minutes.

Ask questions and listen

Take the time to understand the customers goals and needs from their advisor. Asking questions will not only make the customer feel heard, but it will also save both you and the lead time by honing your conversation to cover what most resonates with them.

Have a game plan

Not all leads will close, or close quickly, so you must have a follow-up/nurture plan in place to stay in contact. Remember, be persistent, but not a pest. The optimal lead contact strategy includes at least 12 relevant touch points.
